Auction with unusually high shipping costs - report it or ignore it?
Summary: naluto342 encounters an auction with unusually high shipping costs set by a private seller, raising concerns as the item could be shipped cheaply within Germany. They question whether such an auction should be reported, seeking advice on whether to let others deal with the consequences or to report it with a valid reason.
Good day,
I came across an auction in which an item is being offered with pretty high shipping costs.
The private seller didn’t choose one of the amounts suggested by eBay, but entered their own amount of several hundred euros. The item could easily be sent as a normal 5 kg DHL parcel based on its size and weight. The item location is in Germany.
Is that okay, since the shipping costs are shown in the auction and when placing a bid?
Should one report such an auction, and if so, on what grounds, or should you just let other people bear the consequences of their actions?
Best regards

Mentor1 month agoI sent them an email about it, they offer other shipping options too, so it could be a typo or they used a period instead of a comma.

@naluto342 you can still report it if you want.
