Auction end
Summary: ratebe asked how to change settings to see the end time of an auction, instead of just the remaining duration. perfect-sally mentioned that they could see the end time without adjusting settings, suggesting it might vary by device or app. petersmodellbahnstuebchen noted that both the remaining time and end date are visible on their browser. ratebe expressed frustration over a recent change affecting this visibility and plans to try clearing the cache and cookies on their iMac as suggested by perfect-sally. petersmodellbahnstuebchen speculated that the change might be a deliberate system design to increase clicks, not a setting issue.
Hello, how can you change the settings to see the time when the offer ends? Right now you can only see the remaining time :-(

OP3 weeks agoI’ve been using an iMac on eBay for many years and will try to follow your tips.
Thanks !

OP3 weeks agoIn the app, it’s been like that for a long time (or always?) that you first have to click on the offer to see the time. On the website, up until about 10 days ago, it was different, and I’d like to have that state back exactly. Hence my question in the forum about possible paths in the settings that would restore the original state.

Mentor3 weeks agoHey @ratebe
Have you ever thought that this could be intended system behavior?
I wrote something about this topic about two years ago.
In times when more and more platforms make a lot of money from advertising, clicks and views just count especially much.
And if this is really intended, no one here in the forum will be able to confirm or deny that for you.
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea

Mentor3 weeks agoAs I said, there’s nothing to adjust there. But it could definitely be that eBay has another bug again, which is why it’s not working.
A different kind of display error has already been confirmed today.

OP3 weeks agoThanks for the friendly comment. I tried to find a way via the forum to restore the display that had been in use for more than 20 years and has now been gone for about 10 days.

Mentor3 weeks agoWe still don’t know what device you’re using on ebay.
If you’re actually using the app, then I can’t help any further, since I don’t use anything like that. I need flawless functions for ebay and not a buggy app.
Maybe someone else who knows the app will still chime in.
On a PC / laptop, you could try clearing the cache & deleting cookies, and maybe try a different browser.

OP3 weeks agoI just saw that this has already annoyed other users too ....

Mentor3 weeks ago · EditedWhy can I see this and others can't? And which update do you mean?
Are you using the app by any chance? Then I'm not surprised, it's glitchy as always.

OP3 weeks agoThanks for the quick response. Since the last update, unfortunately I only see the remaining time in h and min, but not the day and time the period ends.

Mentor3 weeks agoHey @ratebe
this is what auctions look like when I view them:
Both the remaining time and the day and time the listing ends are shown to me.
At least it works that way in the browser with Chrome.
Best regards from the Baltic Sea

Mentor3 weeks agoThere is nothing to set there.
When I watch auctions, I always see when the offer ends.
