Hiding things in search no longer works properly
For a few weeks now, my meticulously "crafted" search queries have no longer been working; more precisely, masking out items in the style of:
SEARCH: (ArticleX, ArticleY) -(WORD1, WORD2, WORD3)
Suddenly only 160 items are being shown, and always 160, no matter what I change.
At least that's too few; it should be 16000+ for example.
Has eBay changed something in the search?
Has anyone else noticed something like this?

First of all: It doesn’t bring any more or less if the same post is published in different subforums.
Could you describe your search in more detail so that we can analyze the system behavior? The specific search terms would certainly help here.

OP2 weeks agoSo, first of all, there is only one post from me. I put the first one in the wrong section and requested deletion, which has now happened. So there’s no point in getting educational about it either.
2. Example:
This search returns 210,000+ results

while the following search only returns 160, which can’t be right.

But I’ve figured it out by now: it’s simply the browser. It works as usual in Safari, but in Firefox you get the issue described above. For whatever reason.
Case closed, just in case someone runs into the same problems again, I’m including the solution myself now.
