Complaint about allegation
Summary: wartenochaufwas expresses frustration over a notice that removed their article for violating a size requirement, and criticizes the portal’s communication and customer-friendliness. Other participants, such as voli-maus and bootyooty, point out that the rules have been in place for quite some time and are enforced through automated processes. They recommend reading the portal’s guidelines and news to avoid such problems. perfect-sally emphasizes that the notice was sent to all users and that the complaint is directed at the wrong party, since users do not represent the portal.
What kind of accusation is this, especially in the wording,
" This Listing was removed for violating our Fashion Size Standardization Policy" ?
I am a "customer" on your portal and not in the dock. Where am I supposed to have violated your rules? Or committed a breach of rules? Because I can't specify a size if it isn't legible in the item, or doesn't exist because it is made to measure.
Then just set up a corresponding line for it so that the relevant information can be entered. Link to a table with international sizes and body measurements.
If you have something to clarify with me, then write to me and please explain my mistake in my language!
The two items had already been online for 315 days and now a mistake suddenly comes to light?
Why isn't this pointed out at the time of entry?
At other times, entries are not accepted either.
I notice that my annoyance at continuing to use your platform is growing more and more.
What would you do without us users?
Customer friendliness sounds different.
You want to hear our opinion, but when complaints come in, there's no response.
Maybe I'll get a personal reply one day and not AI blah blah.
Kind regards
Anke

Hello @wartenochaufwas and thanks for the post! Of course, custom-made items or items without a classic size indication can also be offered on eBay. What’s important is to describe the item and its condition transparently. We only introduced the guideline for standardizing size information this summer, and we’re now enforcing it accordingly. That’s why the notice can now also appear on listings that have been online for a longer time. The goal is not to exclude certain items from being sold, but to give buyers as consistent and easy-to-understand information about size as possible.
I passed along your note that for custom-made items there may not be a suitable selection available, as well as your suggestion for a table with international sizes and body measurements, as feedback.
Best regards
Miriam

Mentor1 month agoHi,
Your choice of words starts without any greeting and is full of accusations and demands. Are you aware that these are automated processes when rules are violated?
That these emails have been coming in English every now and then for 2 decades is not known?
You should read eBay News once in a while…

Mentor1 month agoPeople are complaining in the wrong place here! We’re just users too and not eBay.
And even if the listings have been online forever, the new rule hasn’t been in place for that long yet. And if sellers don’t adjust them, then the listings will simply be removed by eBay.
And every user received the notice from eBay, and it was also mentioned in the eBay News.
