Did I fall for a scammer or am I being overly cautious?

I urgently need some advice from the community:
I bought something on eBay, and I also always proceeded as usual and was sure the seller was reputable.
Now something has happened to me that seems strange and completely unfamiliar to me, but clearly looks like scam;
I bought the item (best offer), paid via PayPal, exchanged a few messages with the seller, and then he changed his name.
The eBay support says everything is fine, he is 'Gold-rated' but I don't trust him.
Is he a мошенник or am I mistaken?

Mentor2 months agoAnd what exactly do you want? A seller who renames themselves doesn’t have to be fake. Besides, it’s still the same account and you have buyer protection.
If the delivery deadline has been exceeded, you can report an item not received.
And in your screenshot, I don’t see anything at all with the black screen background.
