a buyer would like to return only part of the purchased item. However, since the buyer has opened an official return case, the eBay system is currently not giving me an option for a partial refund.
Unfortunately, I missed the deadline for providing a return label because I was unsure how to proceed correctly in this specific case.
Therefore, I am asking for your help and guidance on how I can correctly process the partial refund for the buyer.

If the buyer has opened an official return, you can offer a partial refund within it, provided the buyer did not receive a return label after the deadline passed.
However, if you offer a partial refund, that also means the buyer can keep the item or items and does not have to send them back.
