defective ring
I bought a ring for 500 euros. The ring arrived and one stone was damaged. I contacted the seller to ask him to please take the ring back because it is damaged. He says it was bought like that, as seen in the pictures, no returns. What should I do now?

Mentor1 month ago@netti651 Hey. 🙂 I was happy to take a look at that. You opened the return with the correct reason. Since it is currently still in the negotiation phase, I can't step in to clarify it yet.
Please feel free to get back here again from 09/07 onwards, if you haven't been able to reach an agreement with your seller.
@perfect-sally Thanks a lot for the tag. ❤
Best regards,
Nina

Mentor1 month agoOpen a return with the reason that the item is not as described or is defective. The seller must accept the return, pay for the return shipping, and refund after receiving it.

OP1 month agoI did, after that he wrote to me privately that he won’t take the ring back, that’s what it says on his page, as seen as bought, but the damage isn’t visible in the pictures

Mentor1 month agoIf you opened the return in line with eBay rules and with the stated reason, you also have buyer protection.
After opening the return, the seller has 3-4 days to respond. If they don’t, you can involve eBay.
If you provide the item number, an eBay employee can take a look. And please don’t communicate privately with the seller, whatever private is supposed to mean and however they were able to message you privately. Communicate exclusively via eBay so that eBay can also trace it if that should later become necessary.
Hello @nina@ebay could you please take a look at this? Thanks
