DHL shipping label for Spain purchased - package could not be delivered - who is liable?
Summary: momocardshop reports a problem with a shipping label via eBay for a shipment to Spain, where the package could not be delivered because of an allegedly incorrect address. Despite evidence such as the posting receipt and digital label, the case was decided in the buyer’s favor after the buyer filed an appeal. momocardshop asks whether they are in the right and why support is so frustrating. bootyooty asks whether the digits in the address were really mixed up.
Hello everyone
I have the following problem: Bought a label via Ebay without changes for Spain in mid-August. According to DHL, the package could not be delivered because the address is not correct.
Buyer opened a case, I submitted everything (posting receipt, the digital label (you can no longer get the original from ebay after 2 weeks, maybe someone knows how to do that?), explanation blah blah blah - case won
Buyer appeals - wins the case after 2 minutes.
I appeal, but don't get a favorable ruling. The following was written -
We have reviewed the delivery address details in connection with tracking number XXXXXXXXXXXX and found that the address does not correctly match the buyer's address, as the order of the digits making up the address number was swapped. Please note that the address must be entered exactly as the buyer provided it in the order; for this reason, the item could not be delivered.
We have reviewed the case more closely and can confirm that the original decision was correct.
The buyer did not receive the item. The tracking data show that a delivery attempt was made, but the location does not match the buyer's address.
For this reason, we have decided to reject this appeal.
What can I do? I'm in the right, aren't I?? This support really manages to annoy you every single day.

OP1 month agoI can no longer see the original label, can you tell me if there is an option for that? As mentioned, I bought the label through Ebay WITHOUT changing anything. Even if an address error had been caused there by EBAY or DHL, why should I be liable for that?
I could only display the shipping label in Apple Wallet; there I see a slight difference in the order. Ebay shows the following ADDRESS - 58 1st floor A right and on the label it is door right, 58 1.
That is different, that is correct. But I did not make the change, it was done automatically and I also can't say 100% whether the order is only like that on the Apple Wallet label, or also on the other one ... Thanks for your help
