I sold an item - shipped it - tracking number is stored on eBay - the buyer picked up the parcel at the parcel shop - but the status is still stuck on -shipped- - so the buyer's payment is not being released - what should I do?

Mentor2 weeks agoThe days when you could make quick money on eBay are long gone.
You don't have a current seller rating and you sold an expensive item that is prone to complaints, and in that case eBay can withhold the money at first.
You should be able to see that under payments.
An eBay employee can take a look at it and will get back to you here.

Phrases like "quick money" "expensive item ... prone to complaints" - please, man/woman, should refrain from saying that - I had contact with the buyer - he is satisfied with the camera he bought incl. lenses
Now ebay should release the sale proceeds
ebay is also welcome to contact the buyer - also a possible way of checking

Mentor2 weeks agoWhy should one refrain from that? Don’t people want to hear the truth? And eBay never contacts buyers to ask whether and how satisfied they are, and as said, a later complaint could also come if the buyer has used the camera extensively for a few days. Buyer protection is 30 days after delivery.

In this case, all you can really do is wait. And the AI isn’t to blame this time. eBay has been having trouble for a while now keeping the shipment status up to date here.
