Hey. Have you already experienced this, that a customer buys something and then the order gets split and the commission fee is charged twice? Since the beginning of June, eBay has been screwing me over regularly. The thing is like this: customers buy several items from me. For orders over 20 euros, I have shipping set at 6 EUR Hermes. Actually, it should be one order and 0.45 EUR should be charged, commission fee.

Since June, someone has been buying from me, for example for 30 EUR (let's say 5 items), pays 36 EUR incl. shipping. But that's where eBay's trick starts now. They split this order into 2, once 3 items with shipping 4.31 EUR and the second order with 2 items with 1.69 EUR shipping, even though the customer bought it as one shipping charge and items. And then the split triggers 2 x commission fee. For each small order, in this case once each. Even though the customer paid once for the whole package. Ordered once, fee once. eBay — ordered once, order split by eBay and bam, charge the fee twice. I’ve called several times, they admit the mistake, promise to refund the fees, but instead they keep screwing around. Twice today alone. On the phone they put on some foreigners who can hardly speak German, who in turn put you on hold and say they can’t follow what’s wrong there. Check your sales to see whether you had cases like this too, I’ve already got 10 double-paid fees that haven’t been refunded.
