I need some advice or help, please.
I accidentally placed a bid: unfortunately, I didn't understand exactly what reduced meant. It's about tickets. I asked him before the purchase, but he didn't reply: on 19/08. Then I canceled the purchase, but he had the cancellation rejected on eBay.
After that I asked him to cancel it and explained to him that the tickets are worthless to me. Silence, no reply. Then I contested the bid.
His response was immediate: that he is a lawyer himself and is very familiar with legal matters. I didn't reply, just a purely formal response because of hidden price! Since he didn't tell me the actual price, he immediately threatened me with his title as a lawyer.
On 25/08 he wrote to me: Small tip: don't have legal matters handled by AI. The one-day deadline is already not unreasonable simply because, pursuant to Section 271 BGB, you are already in default anyway. I also don't have the desire or time to continue discussing this with you here in light of the clear facts. Either payment is made now or the lawsuit will be filed tomorrow.
How can someone be like that. I find that disgraceful for a lawyer. I asked him twice and replied politely.
My question is: when is a purchase on eBay automatically canceled? Is a seller allowed to just threaten like that, especially with a title??
I already sent the report to eBay, but apparently eBay didn't find my report relevant!! That's what I got by email yesterday.
What should I do next? I definitely do not want to buy the tickets. Thanks for any feedback and your help

You make an offer, the seller accepts, and that means a purchase contract has been concluded. How do you come to the conclusion that you wouldn’t have bought it?

on eBay, legally binding contracts are concluded here, and the seller can sue you for payment and acceptance of the goods.
Whether he succeeds with that is something a judge will then decide.
If you don’t understand or can’t make sense of something in the description and the seller doesn’t जवाब to your follow-up questions, you generally shouldn’t buy it.

OP2 weeks agoAccording to eBay, I did not place the purchase. It only says that the purchase can no longer be canceled.

Mentor2 weeks agoHi @harialms0 a purchase contract via eBay does not legally become invalid if the cancellation has already been carried out on eBay. The contractual relationship still exists and sellers can sue for the purchase price, just as buyers can sue for surrender against payment step by step.
A private seller also does not have to agree to a cancellation. And why are you reporting a seller if you don't pay for your purchases?
