E-bay Plus registration

I want to sign up for eBay Plus for the x-th time, but every time I fill out the form, I’m asked to verify and can’t continue. I check everything and fill it out again, but then the red message appears again: “Please make sure that the billing address provided matches the address on the card.” Yes, the CVV code matches, but I still can’t continue. This message appears every time. Why doesn’t this work normally? Or is this the only way to prevent sign-up?

As you’ve already learned, the billing address at eBay must exactly match the address on your credit card so that you can save it with eBay. If you’re registered in Switzerland, you can only open a new eBay account on eBay.ch and then save your correct billing address in Switzerland there.

Many thanks for your help, but when I registered back then, it wasn’t possible with a Swiss address, or if it was, many products were only shipped within Germany. So I wasn’t able to order anything at all. That’s a good little trap. Best regards Zoltan

Hi Zoltan,
even if you’re registered on ebay.ch, I think you can still buy products within Germany by adding a German delivery address.
Many of my customers do that.

Do you have a different registration address on Ebay than the one on the card? Please check for exact match.

Yes, the two addresses are different..
Because my Swiss address is on the card, but my registration address is a Packetshop, because I could only register with a German address.
