Good morning dear support team,I have had the above-mentioned problem for a few weeks now, and in my search here I still haven’t found a satisfactory answer / solution. The last thing I found was a reply on 28/02/2026 from a moderator:"Hellothere is no reason to worry.It happens from time to time that a number is displayed."That really can’t be serious, right? In times of spam, fake SMS, etc. etc., as a end user I can never tell whether this is a trustworthy or a fraudulent message. I think not only me, but also many other users are very unsettled every time. I immediately block and report as spam (to the phone company) any SMS messages whose sender is not "ebay", and I change my password (at least 14 characters incl. special characters etc). Can’t this be set up technically so that ebay ALWAYS appears as the sender in the messages? Especially since these are messages that also come from different networks (0155x, 0174, 0152x). Yesterday’s message from the 0174 network even had a typo in the message.With answers like the one above, ebay users are being sent straight into the open knife of fraudsters. Unfortunately....How can I prevent receiving messages from such mysterious senders?Kind regards
