eBay turn-on button is missing

Hello, I bought an item that was different from what was described upon delivery. The seller also sent me a return label. This package also arrived back with the seller on 26/01/26. He should also be able to see that a package arrived with him, with the tracking number he sent me.
Now the buyer does not want to refund the money, since he does not see in the eBay system that the item was sent. It is not possible to manually enter the tracking number on eBay, and there is also no button to contact eBay. What can be done about that?

I can confirm that the return has already arrived with your seller. I have therefore just triggered the refund for you. The purchase amount will be credited back to your payment method used for the purchase within 7 days.

Mentor5 months agoThe tracking number has to be entered within the return because if it isn’t, eBay can’t trace the shipment history and then, of course, “contact eBay” won’t show up either. You should have gotten in touch here to have the number entered if you couldn’t do it yourself.
An eBay employee may still be able to enter it, but they need the number for that.

And one more thing: the seller is lying to you, they could refund at any time!

OP5 months agoThank you very much, but isn’t the tracking number automatically stored when the seller sends the return label directly through eBay? I’ve never had that problem before.

Mentor5 months agoOnly if the seller uses the eBay label does he not create his own label. Sellers often use labels they create themselves because eBay labels are considerably more expensive, depending on what kind of item it is.
