HiI’m a specialist dealer in one niche area and sell worldwide.An item that was paid for has been sitting with Chilean customs for a long time. The customer opens a case for an item not received, and eBay refunds the full purchase price. I appeal. The item is meanwhile demonstrably delivered (DHL tracking). eBay reviews my appeal and sticks with the decision that was made.The customer has thus received the item and their purchase price (approx. 80 euros), and I’m left not just empty-handed, but as the one who was cheated. I had expenses for the expensive insured international shipping and for purchasing the item. I won’t even start talking about the time involved here. I just spoke on the phone with an eBay employee. She either didn’t want to or couldn’t understand my problem and then wanted to connect me to a team leader. In fact, she just hung up. I’m doing over 100,000 euros in sales here and, with shop fees, basic advertising, and increased eBay costs for international shipping, I pay eBay up to 27% of total revenue.And for that I get not only no service, but I’m also being stolen from.
