eBay seller is not responding to warranty claim
The eBay seller IMD Handels GmbH is not responding to a warranty claim, neither by phone nor by e-mail.
Purchased a soundbar on 15.01.2025. Soundbar is defective.

Mentor3 weeks agoeBay can't help with that either; eBay isn't responsible for buyers' consumer rights. They have to enforce those themselves.
And for one from January 2025, the reversal of the burden of proof now applies; that means you have to prove that the fault / defect already existed at the time of purchase, and that's practically hopeless.

OP3 weeks agoThe dealer has a 2-year warranty. Only he just isn't getting back to me.
So take civil action against him?

Mentor3 weeks agoYes, he has a 2-year warranty, but if you can't prove that the defect was already there when you bought it, you can forget about pursuing it under civil law.
In the first year after the purchase, it would have been different, but now the burden of proof is on you.
