Ebay has aided and abetted fraud!
Summary: A participant claims that a platform aided fraud. The discussion consists of a series of posts, but they do not contain any further details or specific information.
Unbelievable.
I sold a PC that was in tip-top shape. The buyer said one screw on the power supply was loose at the mount. He then showed a picture that just needed the mount tightened.
After that, nothing more came of it. Should I pay 40€ because of the screw. I just said to tighten the screw again.
It was a buyer from Italy.
He didn’t have to prove that it was defective or anything else. Now he has 200€ and the PC.

OP1 month agoSince he hasn't been getting in touch anymore! This is getting more and more weird!

OP1 month agoNo, I don't have to, because it's fraud. If it were really broken, that would be something else. But not like this. Keeping goods that don't belong to you is simply fraud.

OP1 month agoIt would be even nicer if someone put up a picture and claimed it was defective. Anyone can do that. Yeah, I no longer ship abroad either; up to now it’s always worked out well! But you can see there are enough scammers out there, ebay.it seems to handle the whole thing differently than here at ebay.de. They told me something different on the phone, just from one call they tell you all sorts of things! the next day something else again. I couldn’t even provide a delivery note, nothing worked at all.

OP1 month agoSince everything works perfectly! I have no reason to take anything back 😉 And a report for fraud and aiding and abetting has been filed.

Mentor1 month agoeBay sees it differently, and if you want your goods back, you have to take care of it yourself and tell the buyer in advance to cover the return shipping costs; instead, filing a report in Italy will not do much. And the supposed aiding and abetting will disappear into thin air.

Mentor1 month agoYes, @siran_20 probably ebay.it decided the buyer protection, I would never sell abroad either, and on top of that fees would apply again.
If eBay decides, that also means an additional defect for you.
And YOU are responsible for making sure the buyer sends it back, you have to bear the costs, otherwise no item will come back either.
