eBay purchase - card payment shows an error that the details are incorrect
Summary: evelyn_weber reports difficulties completing a payment on eBay. Despite repeatedly updating a Klarna account and trying to pay with two valid bank cards, an error keeps occurring. perfect-sally asks for the item number so an eBay employee can look into the situation. evelyn_weber provides the item number.
Dear all,
I bought an item on eBay and now want to pay.
Klarna updates my account details, but then nothing else happens; I’ve now updated the Klarna account three times in a row, nothing happens, so payment isn’t possible.
Then I tried it with two working bank cards, each time getting a message that the card number was incorrect. The card number on both cards is correct.
At least one of the cards is fully authorized for payments of any kind.
What’s going on there? Is eBay currently having a technical problem?
I want to pay for the item and can’t?
What?
I’ve been fiddling around here for 1.5 hours now and still can’t buy the item?
Does anyone have an idea what I can do?

In the meantime, I was able to pay without any problems with another card/card details - and the coveted item is now finally mine ;).
