eBay account created for our civil law partnership
Summary: bbhandel created a new eBay business account but encountered a persistent error when trying to complete the seller account setup, despite verifying their email and phone. we created a new business eBay account for our civil-law partnership.
Our account is already set up, the company details are on file, and both our email address and our phone number have been confirmed.
Unfortunately, we can’t complete the setup of our seller account. After entering our company details, the following error message appears every time we click “Continue”:
“Unfortunately, there was a problem. Please try again later.”
We have already tried different browsers and checked the entries. Unfortunately, without success.
What could be the reason for this?

Hello @bbhandel - just one more follow-up question: could you please try not entering anything in your company details under "Company profile" for the registration number HRB?

Hello @bbhandel - my tip would be to try listing a first item here. In many cases, you’ll then be prompted during the listing process to provide the remaining required details. Feel free to let us know here whether that worked so far 😊.

OP6 days agoHello Miriam, unfortunately that didn't help. I end up back at the point where I have to enter the company data and I get the following error message again: Unfortunately there was a problem.
Please try again later
But the data is exactly the same as on the business license

Mentor1 week agoI also don't see any commercial information at all, and at least an imprint with VAT ID should be visible, even if there are no items online.
Cache cleared & cookies deleted? Tried another browser?

OP1 week agoI tried 3 browsers. The account is set up so far, just not fully configured yet, and during setup I get the error.
