Hello everyone,my wife and I are currently facing a bigger problem with our eBay shop and are hoping for experiences or insights from the community.We started an eBay shop together in January and initially bought goods using our own capital – specifically, it’s our private family budget that we deliberately invested in building this business.Since then, we’ve been selling continuously through eBay and have built up around 600 positive reviews in less than 3 months.Our approach:• Well-performing products are reordered• At the same time, we regularly test new products in smaller quantities (about 5–10 units) to expand the assortment• All tax data (VAT ID, tax number, etc.) is fully storedShipping / tracking (important point):We officially listed merchandise shipment as the shipping method on eBay, since this shipping type generally does not require mandatory tracking numbers.In practice, however, we often ship insured with tracking to secure delivery. That means:Tracking data is available, but not systematically stored for every order, since according to the chosen shipping method this is actually not required.Still, as part of the restrictions, we were repeatedly asked to provide tracking numbers retroactively, which from our point of view is not entirely understandable, since this does not match the shipping model we originally chose.Issue timeline:Since 10/03, our account has been repeatedly restricted:1. Security check → tracking numbers requested → done2. New restriction → note about an old, restricted account → clarified3. Restriction again → proof of identity → submitted4. Then further requirements → business registration + product invoicesHere lies another problem:Since we are currently still in the testing phase with various products, we often buy smaller quantities from different suppliers.So we do not have classic, long-term supplier structures with continuous invoices for identical products.In addition:• Payouts are currently sometimes only made after 30 days• or 3 days after deliveryEspecially critical for us:Due to the current restrictions, we currently have no access to our revenue, even though goods have already been sold.Since this is our invested family money, the situation is putting us under increasing financial pressure.Our questions:• Has anyone had similar experiences with this chain of restrictions?• Is this a normal review process during strong growth, or a sign that the account is internally “suspicious”?• Under these circumstances, does it even still make sense to keep scaling on eBay?We’re currently at a loss, because we actually fulfill all requirements, but still keep getting new restrictions.Thanks in advance for any helpful feedback.
