eBay promised a €50 voucher for sales over €10, which never materialized...

I received a notification that if I sell an item over 10 euros by 02.05.2026 23:59 and also receive the payment within this period, I would get a 50 euro voucher, which unfortunately did not happen despite selling and receiving the payment. Can someone help me with how I can report this or follow up on it here?

Update: The specialist department actually got in touch yesterday. Strangely enough, they’re asking for the original invitation email from back then. But this promotion was never sent by email; it ran exclusively online via the eBay notification portal. For questionable reasons, though, the message disappeared there right after the sale went through - exactly when the promise should have kicked in. Suspicious, to say the least...

What makes the whole thing even worse: Of course eBay knows exactly which accounts these offers were sent to. That’s stored in the system. The fact that they’re now playing dumb and putting the burden of proof on me, even though they have the data, just shows that they don’t want to stand by their word.

I feel completely unnecessarily like a beggar here, even though it’s really just a matter of principle for me. What annoys me most is my own good faith: to make sure the sale went through within the deadline, I even accepted a price suggestion I would have rejected under normal circumstances.

All in all, it’s an absolutely disgraceful performance. I’m not surprised that **bleep** and other platforms are in a completely different league when it comes to customer satisfaction. The sad thing is that eBay’s tactic even worked in the short term - the promotion did get me to sell. In the long run, it has the opposite effect: I’d be damned if I list anything here again. Keep the 50 euros if you apparently need them that badly.
