Hey folks, I want to subscribe to Ebay Plus
and I’m totally stuck right now!
Desperately trying to add another bank account!
My scanner פשוט won’t recognize the card
– and that on different devices (17t pro, S9 Ultra, etc.). Adding it manually doesn’t work either, the card number isn’t accepted
– it’s driving me insane!
I’ve already linked a SEPA account with Ebay, that works great, but
when I want to select it for Ebay Plus, it doesn’t show up. But it’s there in my Ebay account. What’s that about, folks? 😅

The membership for eBay Plus can only be paid for with PayPal or credit card. That is probably also the reason why the card number is shown to you as incorrect.

However, I can’t find any reference to that in the Terms and Conditions for Ebay Plus, only this:
5.3 You authorize eBay to collect all amounts arising from your eBay Plus membership via the payment method you have stored as preferred. eBay is entitled to collect the fees through another eBay company, in particular eBay S.à r.l. The invoice can be retrieved in the eBay account. eBay will inform the user by email when the invoice is available.
Either I’m a bit blonde today, or does this need to be clarified?

When I get to adding the account
and I select PayPal, I get the message that I already have a PayPal account and that I have to delete it first. When I want to add a card, I have nothing to choose from, so I fill out the page. When I then want to send it, the message appears at the top saying the card number is incorrect!
And it keeps doing that постоянно.
If I go to the camera, the card can’t be scanned.
I have 3 accounts with eBay; I’m wondering if there really is "eBay plus"!?

You can’t use the existing Paypal account?
And the card you’re trying to use is a credit card?
But it could also be an app issue. Have you already tried it with a browser?

I’ve now found out via PC that a Mastercard is stored in the payment methods, which I haven’t had for a long time! This card appears automatically with all the details when I click that I want to pay by card; furthermore, it also says in the lower half that I could pay with GPay.
I’d like to remove the card there, but how?
If I go to "Payments", my three accounts are displayed! Only the outdated card
isn’t listed there.
I’m curious now; until then I remain with best regards and would like to thank you in advance!

Mentor3 weeks agoIf you remove the PayPal account from your eBay account, you should then be able to use it to pay for the subscription. 😊
