I’m relatively new as a seller and urgently need the help of an eBay moderator, since phone support unfortunately couldn’t help any further.
This is about my second sale (value: €420.00, item number: [398285863131]). The item was sold on August 21 and, according to the tracking information provided, was verifiably delivered to the buyer on August 26. The buyer is completely satisfied and has already left an all-around positive review.
Nevertheless, the system has set an automatic hold until September 26 (30 days). According to eBay’s guidelines for new sellers, however, the money should be released 3 days after confirmed delivery if a tracking number is available. All three checkmarks in the system are green.
Could a moderator please take a look at this and manually release the money? Thank you very much!

But since the item was demonstrably delivered by DHL and the buyer is extremely satisfied, I still hope that an official eBay moderator will take a quick look here and check whether a manual approval can be granted. What does a buyer's review have to do with you receiving the money from eBay?

OP2 weeks agoWell, so far that's right. But what if the customer is totally satisfied? Besides, I didn't have this hassle with the first sale, and the value was higher... you can't explain that with logic.

after 3 days or 2 weeks he finds a flaw/error and activates buyer protection. That can always happen, even if the customer was satisfied before.
You accepted that by agreeing to all of eBay's terms.

Mentor2 weeks agoHello @rie-722468 everything’s correct so far with the guidelines, aaaand yet, eBay can also withhold funds for up to 30 days for various reasons - as in your case now, on the one hand because of buyer protection, on the other to minimize risk and also at the transaction level, item price, etc.

You’re writing yourself that you’re a new seller and only have 2 reviews as a seller. On top of that, you sold expensive items that are prone to complaints. Ebay calls it a risk assessment.
They quite like to wait out the buyer protection period before paying out. And positive reviews don’t speed up the payouts either. And ebay guidelines are just guidelines, nothing more.
You’ll have to wait.
