Electrical device failed in less then a year seller doesn't answer
Summary: stevenkollbaum is seeking advice on how to address a situation where a smart plug purchased from a seller broke in less than a year, and the seller is not responding. Attempts to contact eBay for assistance have been unsuccessful due to automated barriers. voli-maus mentions that the issue is between the buyer and the seller, and that eBay is not responsible for guarantee matters.
I bought a smart plug from a seller and the smart plug broke in less than a year. I tried to contact the seller but they are not answering.
I tried to get in touch with eBay directly but the AI does not allow me to get in touch with a real human. I made no purchase in the last 90 days, it says.
How the heck should I get this resolved then if I cannot even send a message to eBay. I tried the report function but no one is answering. The seller didn't answer in 3 weeks.
Where I live, there is a legal minimum for a warranty of electrical devices. Any ideas of what to do?

Mentor1 month agoHello @stevenkollbaum ,
ebay is out of it, and nothing works anymore through the payment service provider either.
That’s a matter between you and the seller.
Incidentally, the seller is not responsible for any warranty claims.
