Recipient ID
In order to be able to agree to the SEPA direct debit procedure, I have to provide the recipient ID (CID), which I do not know, however. Otherwise, my account cannot be verified.

Hello @red_5904 and thanks for your post! We’ve taken another detailed look at this and would recommend that you delete your SEPA details and enter them again. On the page where you confirm the details, you’ll then see a link to the mandate details. Please open these and save them, because that’s where everything relating to your direct debit mandate is listed.
Does that help you further? 😊
Best regards
Miriam

OP4 days agoI haven't entered any SEPA details anywhere in “My eBay,” because that's simply not possible. All I can do is activate the SEPA direct debit procedure for my account, and for that I need the recipient's CID identification number. Without this identification number, the account can't be verified.

Please enter your bank account via eBay (My eBay > Account > Payments) and grant the direct debit mandate - then on the next page you'll also see all the details you need:
Does it work now?
Best regards

Mentor4 days agoHello @red_5904 , thank you very much for your post. Normally, when setting up your bank details on eBay, you do not need to provide the recipient ID. It is used exclusively for direct debit collection.
@hasjana many thanks for the tag.
Best regards

OP4 days agoI have to activate the SEPA direct debit procedure with my bank, and without providing the creditor ID (CID) it just won’t work. And then eBay also can’t verify my account by debiting 0.01 EUR. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Mentor4 days agoHello @red_5904 , have you already contacted your bank about this? If not, I’d recommend doing that first.
Best regards

OP4 days agoOf course I contacted the bank. But without the recipient ID – the CID – the SEPA direct debit procedure cannot be set up. And the bank doesn’t know the recipient ID.

take a look in My eBay / Selling / Seller account / Invoices to see whether the bank details are saved there and whether the direct debit mandate can be accessed ... it should actually be stored somewhere

OP4 days agoEbay transfers 0.01 EUR to the account, but cannot debit the amount again because I don't know the recipient ID (CID) in order to authorize the reversal and carry out the verification.
Have a look in the my eBay / Sell / Seller account / Invoices area to see whether the bank details are saved there and whether the direct debit mandate can be retrieved ... it should actually be stored somewhere
I just checked that, and it's not listed anywhere.

I can't really follow this - where is this number supposed to be entered?
If I remember correctly, you only actually see the "creditor identification number" once you have agreed to the direct debit procedure
maybe @elke@ebay can write something more specific about this
