Experiences with eBay customer service: Do they really not call back?

Hello everyone,
I’ve heard from some members that eBay customer service hasn’t been calling back lately, even though they asked them to. This has led to frustration, and we’re wondering whether there might be a technical problem or some other reasons.
What have your experiences been with eBay customer service in similar situations? Have you also had difficulties with the callback service? And if so, what alternatives have you found to get quick answers?

Mentor3 weeks agoWhether they really can’t call back, I can’t say, but a good acquaintance of mine has been having problems for days and has to be in contact with them every day, too, and sometimes waits for hours for the callback! Even when he had already called himself, he was told he’d be called back shortly, and that took forever too.
The first and only exception was this morning, when the callback came after 3 minutes. However, apparently it wasn’t possible to be connected through to the specialist department.
Anyway, I wish everyone lots of fun who has to contact the supposedly great customer service and deal with the phone jokers.

Mentor3 weeks agoHey @cybermuddie you can also just call them yourself, eBay has a phone number in the legal notice within Germany and one that can be called from abroad.
I myself have only had to contact customer service once in nearly 20 years, and that worked by phone when I called myself.
