Experiences with non-responsive buyers – How do you deal with them?
Summary: rudkr-48 asks about strategies for dealing with buyers who don't respond to messages, and shares experiences. perfect-sally and meinehexe11 think that no response from the buyer is necessary unless something is wrong. bootyooty asks whether this is about a review, and gives the tip that if there are problems with a review on a marketplace, you should ask them to remove it. The discussion revolves around how appropriate seller messages to buyers are and possible misunderstandings when purchases are canceled.
Hello everyone!
I’m currently facing the challenge that a buyer has received their package, but isn’t responding to my messages. Despite several attempts to get in touch, the communication remains one-sided. This is certainly a situation many of us have experienced before.
How do you handle situations like this? What strategies have you developed for dealing with buyers who don’t respond? Are there any tried-and-tested tips you can share? And how long do you wait before taking further steps?
I’m looking forward to your experiences and am curious to hear how you deal with challenges like this!

Mentor1 month agoHi @rudkr-48
how long did you wait after the sale before you canceled it?
For what reason was the sale canceled?
After all, you accepted the price suggestion.
For items for pickup, contact details may only be exchanged after payment.
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea

Mentor1 month agoOh, now I think I know what it's about @rudkr-48
The red rating from your buyer who comments in English?
You canceled the purchase, only pickup was specified, no shipping.
I would report the rating to eBay and ask for it to be removed, if that's what it's about.
The buyer could revise it, but probably won't want to.
If it's about something else, describe your problem in detail.

Mentor1 month agoAnd if it’s about the rating, then the wrong reason for the cancellation was given. With the correct reason, it hasn’t been possible to rate since then, at least.

Mentor1 month agoHi, hi.
So I also don't understand what you want from the buyer. Why should they reply to your messages?
I'm just imagining buyers right now who buy a lot. Just imagine if every seller then starts texting them. Well, thanks a lot.

Mentor1 month agoHey @rudkr-48 what exactly is the buyer supposed to react to, did you ask him for a review for you or what?
It's voluntary and if the buyer doesn't want to, then that's just how it is.

Mentor1 month agoWhat exactly do you want from the buyer after a completed sale? Why would a buyer respond?
If something should be wrong, they’ll get in touch and file a complaint.
And why should you take further steps there if someone doesn’t respond to messages? How is that justified?
