Delete completed sales
You used to be able to delete the sale after the sales process was completed. That no longer works. What was changed?

You can still delete it. Just tick the box to the left of the article and click Delete at the top.
If that doesn’t work for you, try clearing your cache and deleting cookies and/or using a different browser.

I’m not aware that one could delete sales or purchases on Ebay in the recent past.
Sales can be archived
Purchases can be hidden

Mentor1 week agoThe only difference I know is that commercial sellers have to use Seller Cockpit Pro, but there should actually be some functions, if anything more rather than fewer. And there are also plenty of private users who use it.
And yet I don't know the delete function. And even in my private account, where I only buy and don't have Seller Cockpit, I can only hide the purchased items and not delete them. Maybe there will be an enlightening answer after all.

Hi Thomas, as written earlier in the other reply, the so-called "deleting" works in the app on the smartphone.
However, afterwards I had to realize in the browser that I could show the "deleted" purchase again.
And the "deleted" sale was still visible in the list of orders.
So in real life I’ll keep using the browser on my PC.

Morning Peter,
I don’t do anything with the app and I don’t even have it. And I haven’t read in any post that it doesn’t work via the app or that it does. When someone posts here, I automatically assume they’re using a browser unless that’s explicitly ruled out.
If users think they have to use the faulty app and have problems with it, I’m totally out of the loop and don’t know anything about it.
What I do find strange is that there are now 2 users pointing to a previous deletion and I haven’t been able to delete anything for years, only hide or archive it, no matter which interface I use.
Well, maybe something enlightening will come along 🤕

haven't learned anything, unfortunately. 😉I just tried it on my smartphone too.
For purchases, I can click on delete, but I can still show the item again anytime by unhide it.
For sales, I can also click on delete, but the item still remains in my list.
In the browser, these functions aren’t available at all, or are correctly labeled as Archive and Hide. That’s why I always prefer it over the app.
