Express shipping without consent

Question

I bought an item and after completing the purchase, the delivery time was extended extremely. I wanted to cancel, but the seller refused the cancellation. Now the item is stuck at customs because he simply sent it by express without my consent or knowledge, and I now have to pay an additional over €79 to receive the item. The seller is no longer responding either because I’m refusing this

it also says in the listing that it will be shipped with Fed Ex or DHL Express.

It also says there that buyers outside the US have to pay customs duties and import fees on top.

So in that respect, I don’t see any mistakes on the part of your Japanese seller.

Hi @s.graff ,

if you bought it outside the EU, your item often ends up in customs, as @hasjana already wrote to you.

As long as you haven't paid the required customs fees, the goods will not be released and, after a certain period has expired, they will be auctioned off / destroyed.

@s.graff I’m guessing the amount isn’t being charged for express shipping, but for import
