Fake Names in Customer Service
Why do the customer service reps use made-up German names? I don't care whether someone with a Polish or Indian name solves my problems, do I?

every call center uses "fake names", even here

Mentor1 month agoMaybe the proper names aren’t understandable. However, the alias names should still be assignable to the employee in case there are complaints.

Mentor1 month agoeBay will surely be able to assign that; the fact that users don't get the real name is probably due to data protection reasons.
I don't want to be approached on the street by people I personally don't know about the poor phone support.
