if bids have already been placed in an auction, it can no longer be changed (including the shipping costs or shipping method) - the same applies to auctions that end in the next 12 hours, regardless of whether they have bids or not
for all other offers, you should be able to change the shipping costs / method

Mentor1 week agoAlso, eBay certainly does not state the sellers’ shipping costs; that is solely the sellers’ responsibility.
And you should consider whether your sales are really as private as you claim.
You are typically acting as an entrepreneur or commercially if you:
buy items in order to resell them
sell items that you have made for resale
regularly sell large quantities of items
sell similar goods, especially new items, over a longer period of time
frequently sell new items that you did not purchase for your own use
According to case law, the following are considered indications of commercial activity:
operating an eBay shop
number of current sales: if many items are continuously sold over a longer period of time, this is generally considered a commercial seller
long-term staggered sale of a private collection over many years
type of items sold (new or used goods, value): the sale of several similar navigation devices was classified as evidence of commercial activity – as was the offering of 250 batteries in different sizes with reference to the availability of larger quantities.
a website or the use of advertising descriptions that make a professional impression
Note: We regularly review the trading activities of our sellers and, if necessary, ask them to mark their eBay account as a business account. You should also expect to be warned at your expense by competitors or consumer protection associations and to be sued in court for injunctive relief.

Do you have a concrete example? Without any more info, my crystal ball doesn't work either.
