Hello,
I bought an item that is a replacement of a piece for my car, the seller and eBay confirmed me it’s suitable for my car but when I was about to change it I realized it’s not the same piece and there is nothing you can do to install it. So I want to return it but it asks to me to pay for the return label where I see no point because it’s not my fault to receive something that the seller and eBay grants that is suitable and then not. I request a free return label.

Mentor1 week ago · EditedIf the seller has confirmed to you that the part fits and it doesn’t, then you open a return with the reason that the item is not as described. Then the seller also has to pay for return shipping.
If you open a normal return in the sense of a cancellation, you pay for the return shipping yourself.
And in what way should eBay have confirmed that the part would fit? eBay doesn’t sell anything.

OP1 week agoThere is a much more specific description for my case that literally says the item does not fit and that is what I selected. And we all know that eBay does not sell anything but if you would have paid a bit of attention you would see that you have a menu where eBay confirms once it has the details of the car you selected if the part that you are looking for is suitable for your car or not

Mentor1 week ago · EditedI never buy vehicle parts on ebay and I don’t have to be careful there either. Ebay here only takes over what a seller states.
On top of that, I think demanding a free label from ebay for this is pretty outrageous, because in the end the general public pays for it, and above all the commercial sellers with the fees imposed on them.
And if it doesn’t fit, then it’s simply a return in the sense of a cancellation, and not a complaint!

OP1 week agoThank you, then I hope you never end in the same situation as me, where you get your part checking it in eBay, you start the reparations and check that the piece you bought after the confirmation of eBay and the seller does not match and you cannot use your car because you trusted the seller and eBay criteria. If it’s pretty outrageous to ask for a free return label on this case, I really do not know what is not outrageous, you just assume that the world is perfect? Nobody does mistakes? Even I accept that but in this case is not my mistake to trust what seller/ebay says so for that reason I don’t want to lose my money. We can discuss anything over and over but I really do not see any help in your comment or anything useful you are just simply someone that does not have my issue and gives their opinion about it.

Did the seller's listing have the eBay vehicle parts promise?
Did you enter the correct HTN / TSN according to the manufacturer's specifications?
Please tell me the item number.
