Hello everyone,

I registered my business as a sole proprietor under the small business regulation pursuant to Section 19(1) of the German VAT Act. Since I assumed that I did not have to charge VAT, I did not apply for a VAT ID number.
Now I have received an email from eBay asking me to provide a VAT ID number within 7 days. However, applying for this number at the tax office takes at least two weeks.
Could the one-week deadline be extended so that I can submit the VAT ID number after I receive it?
