Device defective after 5 months, no refund

I bought a car radio from a commercial seller on 28 February 2026. The car radio broke down at the beginning of July 2026 and no longer works. I contacted the seller and asked him to resolve the problem, unfortunately the seller does not want to either exchange the car radio or refund the amount paid. He only suggested giving me a discount on an item that I should buy from him again.
Can someone please help me with how I can solve the problem or how to proceed.

eBay buyer protection has expired after this time.
So you have to enforce your right to warranty outside of eBay.
Maybe the lovely @nina@ebay can write to the seller and kindly point out their obligations as a commercial seller, thanks Nina. ❤️
Please give the order number here. However, if the seller is based abroad, the issue becomes difficult.
