Fee for basic listings
Hello everyone,
I sold an item for €205 ( incl. shipping costs. Item price was €140 )
When I was settled up, €29.27 was deducted from me for "fee for basic listings"
I had not booked any additional services and when the auction was created, the fee shown was €0.00.
Is this another eBay rip-off through the back door?

Mentor1 month ago · EditedSure, you were shown 0 when creating the listing because these are not listing fees but sales fees. And these become due after a sale because eBay can't calculate in advance what total price the item will actually be sold for.

OP1 month agoI figured it out myself in the meantime.
Just as I suspected.
Scam via a default setting that's easy to overlook.
That probably catches at least 50% of people on eBay once.
It cost me €30.
Just a rip-off.
I'm curious what comes next.
I deleted all my listings.
I'll be offering my stuff through other platforms.
