I misspelled the heading. But I listed the article with the wrong title and in the process my article got a bid. I discovered this by chance and ended the transaction early, and then I listed the article again with the correct title. Ebay collected a fee for this action (ending a transaction early with a bid). I would like that fee back. I did this because I had no problem with the bidder after the auction

here you can read again how to end an offer and what consequences you have to expect.

As a risk, the following can also happen to you: the bidder can demand the item from you at the visible bid that was in place when it was ended, because with the first bid you have already entered into a binding contract.

At the time your listing was ended, there was already a bid. Based on the bid amount, a “fee for ending auctions early” was charged.

The reason for this is that, once a bid has been placed, there is generally a legally binding purchase agreement between you and your buyer. I ask for your understanding that in such a case we cannot arrange a goodwill refund of the fee.

To avoid additional costs in the future, I recommend checking your listings thoroughly for accuracy before they go live. If errors are discovered in the listing after it has started, it can also make sense to add to the item description or upload more photos.

The problems with the bidder can still happen.

eBay charges a fee for ending auctions early when a bid has been placed. I don't think you'll get the fees refunded. But we can gladly ask @verena@ebay
