Received counterfeit goods. Buyer protection applies, but I’m supposed to arrange the label myself and apparently I’ll get shipping costs through PayPal! Fraud! Please help!

The seller sent me fake Panini stickers, which I complained about.
Here are his messages:
We can offer you a full refund.As soon as we have received the item, we will refund you the full payment.We can offer you the shipping costs.If you agree.Please send us your PayPal accountWe will pay you the postage via PayPal.Thank you
In my opinion, that is not acceptable, since I want all transfers and money transactions to be handled here via Ebay.
And my Paypal account is none of the seller's business!
The problem: I can't escalate the case to Ebay through the return form, I only have the options to add a tracking number, contact the seller, or cancel the return!

MentorJun 24, 2026 at 8:24 AMIf you bought it abroad, then the seller can't issue a return label and you should already do some work to sort the matter out if he offers to pay the costs upfront. Through eBay, that's not possible.
Give the item number and an eBay employee can take a look at it.
