Counterfeit article

Hello dear community,
I bought an item of relatively low value (approx. €45) at the end of March and recently learned through third parties that it is a fake. I then confronted the seller, but so far have not received any response. I also contacted eBay and likewise received no reply.
In addition, I have no way of retrieving the item through this AI bot from eBay, since it is older than 3 months. This bot is really not helpful, dear eBay employees.
The question now is what my chances are regarding this matter. I find it really annoying that I didn’t notice it sooner, but I’m still fairly new to the hobby and don’t recognize fakes that quickly.

Mentor3 weeks agoNothing works anymore on or with eBay after all this time! The buyer protection has long since expired.
If payment was made with PayPal, you can try whether a dispute can still be opened there.

But since this is basically a counterfeit item and was advertised as original, there aren't any separate exceptions for that?
