I’m absolutely thrilled right now because I solved a problem that quite a few people have already written about here.Some of my eBay drafts were accidentally lost. I hadn’t really been keeping an eye on the deadline myself. Actually, no problem: „bulk edit“ all drafts > make no changes, "save for later" – then the deadline starts over. But then the deadline also ends for all drafts at the same time...Customer service first brushed me off with the usual standard response: restoration was not possible.I was also told that I had received a reminder email.Soon after, I noticed that that reminder email from eBay listed links to incomplete drafts. The links in this email led to draft pages with a "DraftID" in the URL.www.ebay.de/lstng?draftId=494316474xxxx&mode=SellLikeItemThe curious thing was: via these links I landed on draft pages that no longer appeared at all in my draft overview. That made it clear to me that these drafts apparently still exist on eBay’s servers – there is simply no longer a link to my draft overview.In another conversation with customer service, that wasn’t really convincing to explain at first. In the end, I did get through to a very nice and exceptionally dedicated employee. But even she unfortunately couldn’t get eBay IT to provide me with an overview of my draft IDs. So I was back at square one.So I discussed the problem again with an AI. We came up with the idea of searching the browser history. Luckily, I hadn’t deleted it in a long time.When searching for „DraftID“, I actually found numerous visited draft pages – both for listings that had already been completed and for unfinished drafts. Using these entries, I was able to recover some of my supposedly lost drafts – including the photos! Simply opening the links from the history one by one and clicking "save" was enough, and the drafts were listed in the draft overview again. There may, however, be limitations: the method only works if the respective draft had previously been opened once in the single-item edit page in the browser. For listings that were created or edited exclusively via „bulk edit“, I couldn’t find any entries with a DraftID in the browser history, only an inactive "bulksell?workspaceId=..." linkAnd: my "deletion" had only happened a few days earlier, maybe a week ago. It’s not impossible that a real deletion routine on the eBay servers would have been triggered soon after...But it saved my day!Hopefully yours too!
