Deleted negative review
Have you ever had it that eBay deleted one of the negative ratings you left, which was correct and not insulting, but the seller’s response to the rating? Then you wrote to customer service multiple times asking why the negative rating was deleted, but never got an answer. Then the rating system is completely pointless.

Mentor1 week agoNO, but if my first review is deleted, I won’t buy from that seller a second time just to rate him red for the second time and then point out in the comment that the first one was deleted.
Of course, THIS second review is also worthy of deletion.

OP1 week ago · EditedI bought the first device and before I sent that back I bought a second one, but that was also defective. Everything overlapped a bit with the purchase of the first device because I had to deal with the manufacturer since the seller did not respond. There, too, €200 were then withheld without reason. Everything overlapped with the first device. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bought anything there. But I'm also not the only one who didn't get their money back. But if the negative reviews are deleted, then no one can be warned either.

Mentor1 week agoNothing is withheld without reason @allespallettie and since the second one is worth deleting, I’m guessing you also had wording in your first one that didn’t comply with the rules.

OP1 week agoOf course something is being withheld here without reason, as already written I’m not the only one. And if I complain about a new device with proof after exactly 10 minutes at the dealer, he does not automatically get to withhold €200. When I asked that the device is defective, he didn’t even respond. If only talking it up is allowed, then all negative reviews are probably violations of the rules.

OP6 days ago3 negative ones I know of, but they were deleted, and one of the neutral ones has the problem too. But like I said, if everything gets deleted that quickly there’s nothing to find either.

YOU have no way of knowing whether these reviews were deleted, or edited by the buyers. 😉 In the seller's review profile, there are also 4 revised reviews.
And as for the part about the guarantee in the comment, the seller is completely right about that. A guarantee is a voluntary service provided by the manufacturer.
In the rarest of cases, the seller is also the manufacturer, so this is probably about warranty claims and not a guarantee.
