I sold an item today for which I accidentally entered pickup.
The buyer lives far away, so I shipped the item.
How do I get my money now? Ebay requires a pickup code, which I don’t have.
And where is the code scanned in (as required)?
I haven’t sold anything for a long time, it used to be easier somehow

MentorJul 15, 2026 at 9:25 PMThe code is either scanned with the smartphone, as far as I know, or entered in the browser in the purchase details. If the buyer selected pickup, then he must have received a code that he can send you after receipt.
But you will also receive your money without a code, it probably just takes up to 30 days.
It’s always really bad when you deviate from your details because afterward it can’t be changed anymore.
I would have canceled the purchase and listed it correctly again and discussed that with the buyer in advance.
