Warranty
I bought a bath lift on 21/10/2024, and now it suddenly no longer turns on. Since the 2-year warranty for electrical items has not yet expired, I contacted the seller. He is now saying that the warranty period is only 1 year because it was B-stock (not used). However, according to my research online, the 2-year statutory warranty obligation also applies to B-stock. What should I do?

just to add: Was the B-stock explicitly listed as new?

drop the manufacturer a message, including the device name and serial number, and ask whether the part is still under warranty.
Attach proof of purchase, here possibly the eBay purchase confirmation.

regarding warranty and buyer protection, @perfect-sally has already written everything to you.
Take a look under your purchases from and tell us the item number once, so we can take a look at the seller's item description.
Best regards from the Baltic Sea

And with statutory warranty, it’s the case that after the first year the buyer has to prove that the damage / defect was already there at the time of purchase, and that is hardly possible.
And consumer rights also have to be enforced by the consumers themselves; that is not eBay’s job.
