Commercial seller excludes returns
Hello, I’d like to buy a gold ring. Since sizing is always such a tricky thing, I only buy from commercial sellers, because at worst I can return it there.
Now I’ve found both the ring and a commercial seller - however, they exclude returns. Are they allowed to do that? I thought they “have” to take it back?
Best regards and thanks in advance.

Mentor1 month agoHello @rubensladyhh ,
commercial sellers must have a legal notice.
If you have doubts about buying something from this seller, then just leave the purchase there.
There are a lot of jewelry sellers on eBay.

OP1 month ago · EditedMany thanks for the quick reply, but I’ve been looking for a specific ring for months now, and I’ve found it now.
It’s not about whether I trust the seller either, but whether he is allowed to exclude a ( possible ) return in his listing

Mentor1 month agoIt depends! If the ring is being made or altered for you, for example, then returns may be excluded. There’s not much more one can say about that since you don’t know the item or the seller.
But if it’s standard merchandise, a commercial seller is basically not allowed to exclude returns, and I definitely wouldn’t buy there if he doesn’t comply with the legally required information, because that only causes trouble.
