Fundamental violations without reason
Summary: vinyl-klang_buch-kunst reports that two of their recently listed items were blocked on eBay and asks for the reasons for the violation of eBay policies. They suspect that, in one item, the links to an external site may have been objected to, while with the other they can’t see any reason. meinehexe11 suggests checking eBay’s policies, since the item numbers won’t help if the items have been deleted. perfect-sally notes that external links in eBay listings are not allowed, no matter where they lead.
Hello everyone,
I’ve just had two newly listed items blocked:
Item no. 168716713529
Item no. 168716687052
Unfortunately, I can’t see exactly what the reason is for the violation of the eBay policy on buying and selling outside of eBay.
For item 168716687052, I suspect that the links to Discogs it contains may have been objected to. They were only there for reference so that interested buyers could see which specific pressing it is. If that is the reason, I can of course remove the links.
However, as far as I know, item 168716713529 does not contain any external links. So I don’t understand what triggered the policy violation here.
Can someone tell me what might have been objected to in these listings and how I can correctly relist the items? At the moment, I unfortunately can’t edit the blocked listings either.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Mentor3 weeks agoHello @vinyl-klang_buch-kunst items deleted by eBay cannot be edited and relisted.
You can try clicking on "sell similar item" and removing the link. That would be the first violation for an item
Policy
With the second item, we're in the dark, unfortunately you also didn't write what it is about.
Maybe copyright law or something else applies.
Didn't you receive an email about the two deletions that would tell you which policies were violated?

Mentor3 weeks agoWithout knowing the article and the description, you can't say anything about it.
But if you suspect with 1 article that it was due to an inserted link, then that will probably be the case. That's not allowed, no matter where the link is supposed to lead.

Mentor3 weeks agoHey, hey @vinyl-klang_buch-kunst
if the items have been deleted, the item numbers won’t help us either.
Take a look at eBay’s policies. Maybe you’ll get further with that.
