How can I add my business VAT number to ebay.de?
I need to make purchases and get an invoice to my company from ebay.de and I need
to add the VAT number for accounting purposes. Any help would be much appreciated.

I don’t know which website you’re registered on and can only speak for eBay DE.
You can store your own VAT ID as a commercial seller in the Public business information. If I’m correctly informed, this page only appears after you list your first item for sale.
However, I do doubt that it then shows up correctly on the seller’s invoice.
Then you could store it as a workaround in the address supplement for the buyer’s or delivery address.
However, the normal order details are enough for me here in Germany.

OP1 week agoThank you for the information. I would however like the VAT to be there, I will be buying from Romania and the fiscal side is pretty difficult and rigid here.

you have a private account and if you buy with it you are not entitled to an invoice!
There is also no option for private accounts to store the VAT ID.
If you want to buy commercially on eBay with a VAT ID and an invoice entitlement, then you have to create a business seller account. There are no purely commercial buyer accounts.

OP1 week agoI have registered my aacount as a business account and marked the option that at present time I don't want to sell. Please tell me how or where to enter my VAT ID.

Mentor1 week agoNo, as long as it’s not a business seller account, no business details such as VAT ID can be provided.
And as I said, there are no pure buyer accounts for business users, and your account is seen here as a private account, so there is therefore no entitlement to an invoice.
