I could use your advice, I’ve been on Ebay for ages, but I’ve never experienced anything like this...A bundle of clothes (new price approx. €200) sold for €6.50. Hooray. No, my point is to stay sustainable, as far as possible. I was then supposed to send it to an address in a refugee shelter. Fine. I did that, but the parcel was not accepted there. I saw that in the online tracking and messaged the buyer asking what was going on (I could then have rerouted the parcel, etc.), but got no reply. Shortly before it was due to be delivered back to me (returned), I entered a drop-off location at my place. What was I supposed to do? Hermes doesn’t store parcels, and if they’re refused, they send them back. What else? After 1 week, the buyer finally woke up and asked about it. It wasn’t clear to us why the parcel couldn’t be delivered, but fine, I’m nice, so she then transferred me another €3.50 and I added €3.49 myself and sent it to the address again, attached a big sticker asking them to please hand it to security if possible, plus the buyer’s mobile number. The buyer did not follow the request to add further instructions in the tracking information. The same thing happened all over again. Then the buyer wanted me to send the parcel a third time, but now to a different address, and again she was only supposed to cover half the cost. I refused that, the parcel shop isn’t just around the corner, I have to relabel everything and bring it there by car each time. That no longer makes sense for me financially, and I was again expecting problems. After that she activated buyer protection. I was then able to prove that I had sent the parcel correctly and insured to the address provided twice, and that the parcel had not been accepted. I then received a message from Ebay saying that the case had been finally resolved and that the amount including shipping costs would no longer be blocked from me and the amount was refunded. At the same time, they asked me to come to an agreement with the buyer. So I then refunded her the item price (€6.50) via Paypal. What else? I was stuck with the €3.49. After that, she filed an objection with Ebay again, claiming that I hadn’t sent her the parcel. And then Ebay finally closed the case, stating that I couldn’t prove I had sent her the parcel... huhhhh. Am I supposed to send parcels by email? She kept the €6.50 and didn’t reply anymore. In other words, she came out ahead. And I’m down about €16.50. Is that still normal for Ebay? Would you file a criminal complaint or what would you do?
