I bought something in the US but didn't get what I won at auction
Summary: creepyworld bought an expensive model kit in the US through eBay, but instead of the item they expected, they received trash. They ask about ways to involve eBay directly, since they fear they may have to cover the 40-euro return shipping costs without getting the purchase price refunded. perfect-sally recommends opening a return for item not as described, since the seller has to cover the return shipping costs. vera@ebay offers support and asks for the item number to review the case.
Hello,
I bid on an expensive model kit in the USA. The box was shipped via Ebay Shipping including customs clearance.
So far everything went well.
Then the seller got in touch and admitted that he packed and shipped something completely wrong (more like junk and scrap).
Now I’m sitting here and have to cover about 40 euros in shipping costs to send the whole thing back, without any certainty that the purchase price, shipping, and customs clearance
will be refunded.
Is there a way to involve Ebay directly?

Mentor2 months agoYou must обязательно open a return with the reason that the item is not as described. The seller is responsible for the return shipping costs.
