I suspect a case of fraud
Summary: goldbaerchen0711 reports an incident in which, after buying an e-book, it was discovered that it was not the paperback they wanted. They contacted the seller but received no reply, since the seller is no longer registered with eBay. They suspect fraud, but are protected by buyer protection, even though it is a small amount. Their attempt to report this to eBay failed, and goldbaerchen0711 is unsure how to proceed and whether others have had similar experiences.
I bought an e-book on 15/08/2026 and only realized after the purchase that it was an e-book. Actually, I wanted the item as a paperback. I contacted the seller and received no response. Now, when I enter the seller’s name, it says: no longer registered with eBay. I suspect this is a scam. I am covered by buyer protection and it is only €10.60, but still. Furthermore, I wanted to report this to eBay, but I can’t get anywhere with customer service. You should be able to get the address details via the name. I’m at a loss and I don’t want to just leave this as it is.
Are there similar cases and what can be done?

but eBay Buyer Protection does not cover the risk that you made a mistake. It only applies in the following cases:
