Buyer claims the cards were fake.......am I in the right?

as the title already says, someone claims that the Pokémon cards I sold him a few days ago are fake. I have 8 invoices from well-known shops. There are no fake cards there.

the case will be opened on 28.8 and then I’ll upload all the invoices. Is that enough as proof for eBay? I don’t want to end up not getting my money ?

I got a shock today when I received his message.....

If a buyer opens a case on the grounds that an item is supposed to be counterfeit, there are two ways it can go. If the buyer does not provide us with proof that it is actually a counterfeit, we ask the buyer to send it back and only after the return is completed does the buyer get their refund. If the buyer provides proof from a qualified third party that proves it is counterfeit, then the buyer gets a refund without returning it.

There is one thing you're definitely wrong about: there are plenty of counterfeit cards in circulation!

I very much doubt that your invoices will be accepted as proof of authenticity, because other sellers are not experts who are allowed to prove authenticity beyond any doubt.

And if a case is opened and the decision goes against you, the money and goods are probably gone.

please don't get me wrong: The fact that you bought the cards at some point does not prove that they were actually shipped or that they weren't counterfeit. How is Ebay supposed to check that?

If the return is opened, you can upload the invoices to Ebay for review.
