Buyer wants to return item
Summary: benese-57 reported that a buyer wants to return a car kit because it “doesn’t fit.” However, benese-57 had clearly stated in the listing that the kit may be incomplete, and all parts were visible in the photos. perfect-sally explained that a return is not necessary on the basis of “doesn’t fit,” since there is no right of withdrawal for private sales, only in the case of a complaint. benese-57 plans to get in touch with the buyer again.
I recently sold a model kit and the buyer now wants to return it on the grounds that it "doesn't fit". In the auction, I explicitly wrote that the kit was not checked for completeness and that some parts may have gotten mixed up, since it was stored together with other kits, and all parts were visible in the photos. I have already written with the buyer and he agreed to that as well. Apparently he just doesn't like what he got now, even though it was clearly visible beforehand, and I don't see any mistake in my listing. What is the best way to proceed in this case?

Only in the case of a complaint would you have to take it back, but that doesn't fit; it's not a reason for a complaint.
Still, you should first try to come to an agreement with the buyer, because they could still leave a bad review, and whether you can then get that review deleted is questionable.
